OH, EM...GEE! Tomorrow is valentines day! hmm was going to have a give (red lipstick) away over at Ladyprovocouture.com but looks like its 2 late now. Next time! lol but will be giving away some goodies in the next week or so. So look out for that..
Anyways, so you know how I was bragging that my skin is looking right. Well i take it back! Grr Now I have broken out like nobody's business. I tried a new soap and it doesnt seem to agree with my skin. (watch out for the review soon) Mxii Also my scar on my neck for some reason REDARKENED when i got pregnant! So I am looking to buy a cream to fix that. Any suggestions?

In recent sad news. Whitney Houston passed away 2 days ago. I am very sad and shocked about her death. I was truly rooting for Whitney's come back.
She was a true talent. Her voice was undeniable! My thoughts and prayers go out to her family especially her only daughter Bobby Christina. Rest in peace.
The Grammys were on last night. I really appreciated the Tribute they did for Whitney. The music world def lost one of the greatest.:o( speaking of the Grammys, We have the GOOD, BAD AND UGLY on all the outfits over at Ladyprovocouture.com My best dressed were Tylor Swift, RiRi and Alicia Keys. Worst dressed was Nicki Minaj! CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE WINNERS!!

In other news, My weetle chubbly turned 5 months today!!! well actually yesterday but its like 2:00 am. 5 frigging month? Can you believe that? where has the time gone? seems like it was yesterday he was welcomed into this world. He is growing up way too fast.I don't even want to think of the day when he outgrows me! C'est la vie! #raisingAking

For the past 3-4 days this is what I've been having for breakfast and sometimes as an evening snack....good ol' TEA AND COOKIES. EUROPEAN STYLE!! SMH They r soooo good..yet so bad for me..yet i Dont give a f @ the moment my mouth is molesting these perfectly round and delicious brown badboys!! ...oh Gosh i am so weak!! andddd i even go for seconds :o/ no self discipline whatsoever!! :SMH #DISGRACE. Could this b the end of my healthy journey?

is my love affair with these delicious european cookies worth all the hard work i've put in?? damnit NO!!!! I refuse to go back to unhealthy eating. Its not worth it! After i am done with the box of cookies, I wont buy anymore.. I PROMISE..*blank stare* what? I am making a compromise.. work with me. lol Well other than my fight with cookie addiction, you havent missed out much. Its been so cold to really go and out and do stuff. I get discouraged. Me and cold weather arent exactly good friends, plus i dont like to take walks in the cold with my baby cuz i dont want him to catch a cold. In the meantime I have been obsessing with my SKIN. I am on a quest to having a nice smooth,soft, even and glowing complexion. I have def come a long way in terms of skincare. I am learning as I go along. A couple months back i did a review for Ladyprovocouture on a facial skin mask that i swear by.. Queen Helen Mint Julep Masque. I mean this mask cost no more than $5 and it does wonders for the skin. I have also been doing the OIL CLEANSING METHOD. I cant even explain to you in words how wonderful this method has been for my skin! I will write more about it over @ Ladyprovocouture so keep an eye out.

Now on to serious and VERY DISTURBING NEWS. So apparently in Malawi street vendors are angry that women are allowed to wear PANTS/JEANS/SKIRTS or whatever else they please instead of covering themselves up. The street vendors have taken it upon themselves to beat up the women as well as strip them naked....WHAT IN THE BLUE FIZZZUK? You cant even imagine how angry and disgusted I am by these people's actions...ACTUALLY they are not even people..more like savages. These kind of actions are whats setting Africa backwards. I have to say I am proud of the Malawian president because he spoke out against this savage like behavior. He does not tolerate it and said it is illegal (AS IT SHOULD BE) hopefully they start putting some of these savages in prison! mxiiii

update: Women in Malawi plan to protest in the streets Friday over recent beatings by street-vendor mobs who beat and stripped naked several women for wearing trousers or miniskirts.."

I am very proud to know that Women in Africa have a voice and will use the voice to not put up with the disrespectful bullshit. Even more proud to know that they have support of the civilized men!!! +1 FOR AFRICA!!

FRIDAY THE 13TH...coincidence?

Okay I am not one to be so superstitious but yesterday was such an OFF day for me. Still tryna figure out if its because it was Friday the 13th or just a coincidence. For those who don't know, Friday the 13th is considred one of the unluckiest days on the calendar. I've heard stories from people but always dismissed them cause i know how people can exaggerate lol I never thought much of it, UNTIL.........
yesterday. My plans were ruined. First, I had my baby's appt @ 3 but ended up rescheduling due to a flat tire! (WTF) Just messed up man. After I got back home was writing a long email to my cousin and then bamm computer shut off!! smh soo messed up. Thats okay though, that day is over and I am so thankful its over and done with. From now on, I dont look 4ward to friday the 13th. It's officially my holiday. It will allow 4 me to stay home, eat watch movie and sleep! lol
In other news. I know i was supposed to have some recipes down couple days ago, dont really have an excuse. I just 4got. #MYBAD Well today is your lucky day i have a recipe i found. Its a favorite of mine..SAMOUSAS..beef samusa to be exact. Well here it is.

Ingredients For the Stuffing:

2 tsp. grated fresh ginger
3 small Cloves
1 lb. ground lamb or beef
2 thinly sliced large onions
1 tbsp. Garam Masala
1 tbsp. curry powder
1 tsp. salt

For the covering:

2 cups of unbleached flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1.5 tbsp. oil
1/2 to 3/4 cup of water

How To make Meat Samosa:

The Samosa Filling:

Combine all ingredients in a large skillet or pan and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring frequently
Add a bit of oil if meat is too lean to grease the pan
When meat is well browned, drain off any excess fat, set aside until ready to fill pastry

The Samosa pastry:

Mix flour, salt and 1tbsp oil.
Add water little by little, form tight dough and keep aside.
Mix all the stuffing ingredients together in a bowl.
Take a lime sized ball of dough and roll out in a circle of about 6? diameter on a rolling board using a rolling pin.
Cut the round into half, each half makes one Samosa.
Add a big tablespoonful of the stuffing on one piece, fold into a triangle, holding the stuffing in carefully.
Press the edges together to seal.
Form all the Samosas in the same way
Heat oil for frying and keep it on medium heat
Add the Samosas into the hot oil and fry on both sides till they are golden brown
Remove and drain well.

ENJOY!!

SLEEP TRAINING THE KING

Ok I have a confession, my lil King doesnt have a sleep schedule yet. We've/ had his crib since he was born (Thanks Auntie Angela) and he hasn't slept in it yet because he refuses. He cries when you put him down in it for a long time. And me being so weak for him...would just pick him up and cuddle him *COMPLETELY SPOILING HIM*. Explains whyhe cries when i pick him up and try to put him down these days.....yikes! I am introuble. Well, I decided to put an end to it. Sleep training is must. I started last night. I...
let him cry for a short period of time then either me or his Dad would check up on him. I was so TEMPTED to pick him up, but YOU CAN'T DO THAT. He must learn to soothe himself to sleep. We did it for about 2 hrs, checking on him frequently until he FINALLY fell asleep. He's probably so upset with us, but Its for his own good. Hehehe O yeah how did I forget to mention that he now has a lil bottom tooth! o.m.g.! All that drooling can only mean one thing *TEETHING* I have to get him a teething ring just incase he starts to be fussy and in pain. Which reminds me I need to call amayianga to ask her about other techniques just incase the teething ring doesnt work. I def don't want to rely on pain medicine, so I KNOW she will have natural techniques for me. ahhhh #MOTHERHOOD

MAMA KING

Today was so perfect, weather wise. It wasn't cold at all. So I took my little King for a walk. He loves the outdoors..well for like 15 min then he falls asleep. Which reminds me, I need to get him a new stroller soon. It looks like he will be outgrowing this one pretty soon. And why didn't anyone tell me that babies outgrow clothes like super fast? I kick myself every-time I think about how much i spent on his 0-3 month clothes. He barely even wore any of those and now he is 4 months and wears the 9-12months clothes. My Big Boy! He is growing up so fast that one.. and he is....

.. starting to look like me. I see my features in him.. Although alot of people say he looks just like his Dad. Either way he is just so adorable.
Anyway So I am looking at the time and its 10:15pm. I Had my dinner 2 hrs ago, FUFU and soup. Very satisfying meal, but now 2 hrs later I am still hunry. #FML!! Well thats what I get for staying up late. I usually go to sleep when King sleeps which is right after dinner, but nooo I want to stay on the computer and update my blogs! #INTERNET=MY ANTI DRUG son! yes this is the part where i get to plug in my projects, so far I am concentrating on LadyProvocouture. http://www.ladyprovocouture.com If you haven't checked it out, you better get with the program. So word on the street is that Mrs Carter just delivered a baby girl (Ivy Blue Carter)! Congrats. I love the name ivy..so #bosslyke. I know people doubted her pregnancy all through out
and am sure people still doubting she gave birth. LoL, but as someone who has been there, I can tell her ass was pregnant cause of that nose spread. I was looking at my old preggo pics. "WOOOOW" is all i can say..lol I was def spread out (all in the wrong places too) hahaha.Once again congrats to the lucky baby and her proud parents.
In other news, I fell off my #TeamHealthy wagon. :o( Just devoured an entire pizza..plus some bomb a** chicken wings to go along. Gosh I am such a disgrace! but but to my own credit I have come a longggggggggg way. Atleast now I feel guilty when i eat pleasurable food. The old Weezy would not give a f! infact i would be on 2nds now...so yes this is #progress...i think lol ok this is me just talking trying to make myself feel better) smh But seriously below is a pic of me BEFORE i got pregnant (on the left) so imagine i was even bigger when i was pregnant, and on the right is the AFTER! Can you believe its 2012 already? WTF? where has the time gone? Unbelievable. Doesnt even sound right when i say its 2012. Where has the time gone?. Seems like it was just yesterday we were celebrating the arrival of 2011 right? no?..tsk tsk tsk speaking of 2011, I would say it is a year that I will never forget. A year that changed my life FOREVER. It was a great year for me for I got the biggest blessing to date. MY SON, Christopher-King! He is the most beautiful being I have ever met. I love him more each day. If I didnt think I was favored before, I now know.
Both me and his Dad are obsessed with him. He is our little king with the chubbliest cheeks ever! He has the biggest curious set of eyes and the most beautiful infectious smile. I love everything about him. He completes me! he is my hero. I love my boobie! My most prized reward. I can go on and on talking about my son (Which I will be doing so ALOT in my blog) lol Anyway, so yes that was THEE biggest event of 2011 for me. I mean I cant even think of anything else that was major!
O yeah, so alot of people have been asking me about my recent weight loss. I will get to that. I lost SOME weight but I am still not at my goal yet, Infact I am far from my , its still a journey I am taking. so i will be blogging alot about that. I will say though that It's amazing what a lil change in diet can do for your body as well as SKIN!! omgg! #TeamHealthy

Now the main reason why i wanted to blog today is to introduce you all to ACCENT
he is a talented hip hop artist from MALAWI and let me tell you, this guy is amazing! representing Malawi to the fullest. Actually not just Malawi but Africa in general. I am very impressed with his work. I doubt I have heard any malawian rapper/artist come close to him (no offense) He has this song called AFRICA 1. Its a hot track and has a good message.(think Bob Marley's Africa Unite) Its in Chichewa (the national language for Malawi) and he translates it in English! He says it how HE sees it, he is very bold and is not afraid to go there...He talks about Colonialism in Africa, our dying cultures, hunger/disease/poverty/exploration/corruption and just about everything Africa is going through. He asks us to open our eyes and see WHY Africa is in the state is in NOW and challenges us to do something about it, hence "AFRICA 1" "When a man adopts the language, religion, & Tradition of his conquerors, he shall always be 2 steps behind his conquerors.
